리치맨 트리오로 2019 BluesAlive에서 댄서들과 처음 만났던 그들은, 기타&보컬에 리치맨, 베이스 백진희, 드럼 이의호로 구성된 리치맨과 그루브 나이스가 되어 2022년 미국 테네시주 멤피스에서 열린 꿈의 무대, 세계 블루스 대회(International Blues Challenge)에서 밴드 부문 최종 5팀에 한국 팀으론 최초로 선정되는 쾌거를 이루고 왔습니다.

베테랑 블루스 드럼연주자 데니스 코튼으로부터 "환상적이란 말로도 부족하다" "1960년대 영국 록 밴드 비틀즈와 롤링 스톤즈의 인기처럼, 지구 반대편에서 온 블루스 밴드가 미국 예술을 다시 발전시켰다"는 호평을 들었던 이들. 1월의 미국 투어를 거쳐 더욱 멋짐이 더해진 모습으로, 바로 여기- BluesAlive로 돌아옵니다-!

Introducing the Blues band we have in Korea, Richiman and Groove Nice - "The moment we play the blues, we have the world".

They’d first encountered the dancers at the 2019 BluesAlive as a Richiman Trio, later became Richiman and Groove Nice. The band consists of Richiman on guitar & vocals, Jinhee Baek on bass, and Euiho Lee on the drum. Richiman and Groove Nice challenged at the International Blues Competition, the dream stage held in Memphis, Tennessee, USA in 2022, and accomplished the feat of becoming the first Korean team to be nominated as one of the final 5 teams in the band category.

The veteran blues drummer Dennis Cotton’s comments on them were fabulous as he said, "fantastic is not enough", and "Like the popularity of the British rock bands, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones in the 1960s, the blues band from halfway around the world redeveloped American art." After going through the US tour in January, they will add more coolness and come back right to us - BluesAlive -!
